Mortgage company is withholding insurance money in a non interest bearing account until we the borrowers do all the work out of pocket and it is 100% finished. Where do we get the money to do that? If you want my payment, take it without ridiculous fees. I called to make a payment of $152, because I called last week and paid $690 but the lady I called today told me there was a $15 draft fee for partial payments. Interesting to me that there wasn't a fee last week, but suddenly there is. She said it "just started" and her bosses "would've waive it." Our experience with PennyMac was forced on us, since our loan was sold to them. This is why they are bad and criminal The Bad 1) They can't get their insurance requirements straight, provide conflicting information from different agents, and simply don't return calls. 2) Their website doesn't update balances and will be weeks behind the real data making it very difficult to manage accounting. I have two rental properties that each experienced $30,000+ of hail damage in a recent storm. All the repairs have been complete on the houses and the inspector has been there over three weeks ago to verify the percentage complete. On the first house, percentage complete was 95% and it is now over three weeks since the inspection and still no check has been issued yet alone mailed. Poor customer service always excused. They have $17,000.00 from insurance Loss on 3/23/16 When you call everything takes 3 -4 days including putting the contractor name on the check the deserve. Inspection call it takes 3-4 days for them to call and schedule an inspection to pay the contractor. The roof is finished and the contractor has NO MONEY. I am one of the pissed off customers!!!!! We had a drought in Illinois in 2012 and we had gotten behind on mortgage. Had perfect credit, paid bills on time , had a great life until penny Mac bought us from our previous mortgage company. Last May 2015 , told us we didn't have to worry that they will never sell us to another company. Right away offered to refinance and lower our monthly payments. I am in the same boat with you i did call my bill pay they send to Penny mac all the time even electronic I have Ben black ball off the phone pay do to one NSF and now all they do is herras me to no end my payment is 931.00 a MO it cost 44 dollers to send that western uion each MO that is 480.00 bucks a year to make a house payment I can see the countrywide scam here if they don;t take my payment I gus we will be in court I am sick of this... Same experience. They lost the mortgage affidavit which other than the check is the only physical piece they have to receive through the mail since it has to be notarized. Luckily I made a copy cause I never trust anyone's minimum wage mail room to process documents like they should. Plus if they don't have all the documents they get to keep my check and make interest off the amount which has been 4 weeks now. I just called now and the... Read more
